Pinterest Link Checker

Paste a list of pin links and catch format mistakes, shorteners, duplicates and inconsistent UTM tags before you publish.

One URL per line. Paste a column from a spreadsheet, a bulk upload CSV column or your pin list.

Load the links from a .csv or .xlsx file, such as a Pinterest bulk upload file. A column named Link or URL is picked for you. The file stays on your device.

This checker reads the links themselves. Browsers do not let one website load another site's pages (a security rule called CORS), so it cannot test whether a page is live, redirects or shows a 404. Open any page you are unsure about.

How to use the Pinterest Link Checker

    1. 1

      Paste your pin links

Paste one URL per line. You can copy the Link column from a spreadsheet or a bulk upload CSV. Untick the UTM option if you do not tag your pin links.

    2. 2

      Read the report

Errors are problems that stop a link from working, such as a missing https:// or a space in the address. Warnings are risks, such as a link shortener, a duplicate link, an http address or a UTM value that does not match the rest of the list.

    3. 3

      Fix and export

Correct the links in your source file, paste them again to confirm, and download the report as a CSV or copy it to share with whoever schedules your pins.

A pin is only as good as the link behind it. A missing https://, a link shortener Pinterest treats as suspicious, a Facebook click ID copied from your browser bar or a utm_source spelled two ways can each cost you clicks or muddle your analytics. These mistakes are easy to make when you prepare dozens of pins in a spreadsheet and hard to spot by eye.

This checker reads every link in your list and reports the problems, errors first. It runs entirely in your browser. One honest limit: browsers block a page from loading other websites (a security rule called CORS), so the checker cannot visit your pages to confirm they load. It checks the links, not the pages behind them. In bulk mode you can import the links straight from a CSV or Excel file, such as a Pinterest bulk upload file, and download the report as a CSV.

    What the checker looks for

Format: a full web address with https:// or http://, no spaces, no stray quotes or brackets from copying, and no local or staging addresses. Safety: http instead of https, and known link shorteners such as bit.ly or tinyurl, which Pinterest may block or flag as spam. Tracking: click IDs like fbclid, gclid or igshid that belong to someone else's visit, and repeated query parameters.

Consistency: duplicate links, missing utm_source, utm_medium or utm_campaign, and values that differ from the rest of your list. GA4 treats Pinterest and pinterest as two different sources, so a single capital letter splits your reports. Build matching links with the Pinterest UTM builder.

Why it cannot test whether a page is live

Web browsers only let a page read responses from other websites when those sites allow it, and almost none do. A checker that runs in your browser therefore cannot load your pages to see a 404 or a redirect without a server in the middle, and this tool has no server. Your links never leave your device.

To check that pages load, open a sample of links, use the crawler in your SEO tool, or check the 404 report in your site analytics.

    Pinterest Link Checker FAQ

Can I use bit.ly links on Pinterest?

It is risky. Spammers use shorteners to hide where a link goes, so Pinterest may block shortened links or treat the pin as spam. Use the full page URL and add UTM tags if you want tracking.

How do I find broken links on my Pinterest pins?

Export your pin links, paste them here to catch format problems, then check that the pages load with a site crawler or your analytics 404 report. A browser-only tool cannot load other websites, so it cannot see a 404 by itself.

What is fbclid and should I remove it from pin links?

fbclid is a click ID that Facebook adds when someone clicks a link there. If you copy a URL from your browser after arriving from Facebook, the ID comes with it. Remove it from pin links, because it belongs to a different visit and can confuse analytics.

Do UTM tags have to match on every pin?

Source and medium should match on every pin from the same channel, such as pinterest and social. Campaign and content are meant to change, so you can compare campaigns and pin designs.

Is my list of links uploaded anywhere?

No. The checks run in your browser. The list is remembered in this browser's storage only, so it is still there if you reload the page.

Can I check many pin links at once from a spreadsheet?

Yes. Click Import CSV or Excel and choose a .csv or .xlsx file, such as your Pinterest bulk upload file. The checker picks the column named Link or URL, or you can choose another column from the list. Every link is checked at once, and Download report saves a CSV with the status and issues of each link.
