TikTok covers and video frames are 9:16, taller than the 2:3 shape Pinterest recommends for image pins. You can keep the full 9:16 frame as a long pin, or crop it to 1000 × 1500 and choose which slice stays. This converter does both, and adds a title overlay so the pin explains itself without sound or motion.
Start from the cover image you made for the video, or take a screenshot of a strong frame from your own clip. The image is drawn in your browser and never uploaded. If you want to post the video itself, use your original file without the TikTok watermark and see the video pin maker.
2:3 crop or long 9:16 pin?
A 2:3 pin is the safe default and shows the full image in the feed. Cropping a 9:16 frame to 2:3 removes about 16% of its height, usually from the top and bottom where TikTok places its buttons and captions anyway, so the crop often cleans the frame up.
Pinterest may cut taller images short in the feed, so a 9:16 pin can show only its top part until someone opens it. Keep 9:16 when the full frame matters, and keep the title near the top so it is visible either way.
Writing a title that works on Pinterest
TikTok hooks are written for a scrolling video feed. On Pinterest, people search, so rewrite the hook around the words they would type: "3 Easy Hairstyles for Second Day Hair" rather than "wait for the last one". The title generator and hook ideas tool can help.
Pick the title style by background: the white box reads on any frame, the dark strip suits busy frames, and text with a shadow works on simple, darker frames.
