How to use the YouTube Chapters to Pins

    1. 1

      Paste the chapters

Copy the timestamp list from your video description, one chapter per line. Leave "Skip intro, outro and sponsor chapters" ticked to drop chapters nobody searches for.

    2. 2

Add the video details and style

Enter the video title and link, the text you want at the bottom of each pin, a font and a color style. Add your thumbnail as a shared background if you like.

    3. 3

      Download the ZIP

Click Download ZIP for every pin plus pinterest-bulk-upload.csv. Host the images, set the image base URL, and upload the CSV in Pinterest, or upload the pins one by one.

A long YouTube video already has its best ideas split into chapters, and each chapter can be its own pin. One tutorial with eight chapters becomes eight pins that answer eight different searches, and each one opens the video at the exact moment that answers the question. For YouTubers, that turns one upload into weeks of Pinterest content without filming anything new.

Paste the chapter list from your video description. The tool reads the timestamps, makes one pin per chapter in a shared style with a "Part 2 of 6" badge and a "Starts at" time, and packs every PNG into one ZIP with a Pinterest bulk upload CSV. Each Link in the CSV is your video URL with the chapter time added, like &t=135s. Everything runs in your browser.

Why one pin per chapter works

People search Pinterest for a specific answer, not a 15 minute video. A pin titled "A soil mix that drains well" matches that search far better than the title of the whole video, and the timestamped link takes the viewer straight to that answer instead of making them scrub through the intro.

The shared style and the Part badge make the set look like a series on your boards, which invites people to open the other parts. Publish the pins a few days apart rather than all at once, so the video keeps getting fresh pins over several weeks.

How the timestamped links are built

For each chapter the tool adds a t parameter in seconds to the link you paste. A chapter at 02:15 becomes &t=135s on a watch link, or ?t=135s on a short youtu.be link. YouTube starts playback at that second when the link is opened.

Timestamps can sit at the start or the end of a line, with or without hours, and dashes or colons between the time and the title are ignored. Lines without a timestamp are skipped. To make single video pins, use the video link pin maker, and for more title ideas per chapter try video title to pin titles.

    YouTube Chapters to Pins FAQ

What format do my chapters need to be in?

The same format YouTube uses in descriptions: a timestamp like 0:00, 02:15 or 1:04:30 and a title on each line. The timestamp can also come after the title.

How many pins can I make at once?

Up to 12, one per chapter. If your video has more, remove the chapters you do not want as pins and the rest move up.

Does each pin link to the right part of the video?

Yes, in the bulk upload CSV. Each Link is your video link with the chapter start in seconds added, so the video opens at that chapter.

What is in the ZIP file?

One 1000 × 1500 PNG per chapter, numbered in order, and pinterest-bulk-upload.csv with a title, description, board, keywords and timestamped link for every pin.

Do I need to host the images to use the CSV?

Yes. Pinterest's bulk upload reads each image from a public link, so upload the PNGs to your site or storage first and enter that folder as the image base URL. Otherwise, upload the pins by hand.
